Yes. It is a primary part of my calling to teach. I am deeply burdened to pass our faith on to the next generation.

Yes absolutely! As a Christian educator with a Christian Philosophy of Education, I view myself as a mentor to all my students and take every opportunity I can to teach them to follow Christ and to be an example of Christ, to the world.

I value time with my students as an outlet for ministry and discipleship. A punching-the-clock attitude toward teaching contradicts God’s commission for discipleship. Just like Christ showed kindness toward the outcasts of society, I can show kindness and acceptance toward unpopular students. When I found out that 2 students had a falling out, I brought them together, taught them how to apologize and offer forgiveness. Then I prayed with them for the Lord to heal their hearts. Months later, one of the students reminded me how much it meant to her that I cared.

Yes, as a Christian homeschool educator, I have had the privilege to mentor many new homeschool moms and encourage them. I have the opportunity to mentor students all over the country via online learning.

Yes, I believe mentorship is very important for a Christian educator. We not only teach curriculum but we also teach by modeling Christ and helping others along the way.
