Is mentorship something you’ve considered as part of your role as a Christian educator? Why or why not?

This has absolutely been in my thoughts, although I would think this would almost be easier as students get older. It looks different in an elementary classroom, where in a high school classroom, you may have more opportunities to go out and serve. This shouldn’t hamper our ability to mentor the youngest students, but we may have to get creative with our ideas on how to teach them.

Yes, I think this is a big part of it. We have so many ways to influence the younger generation and show them we love them and we are cheering them on.

Mentorship isn’t something I have been called to yet. I teach a lot but I don’t mentor one to one.

Yes. I have been mentored by others and I take this seriously. Some of my mentors have gone on to Heaven. What is nice is seeing those I have shared with going on in their journey. Most of all is the mentoring I have received, I have never forgotten.

Yes, complete Christian education must include this element.
