Is mentorship something you’ve considered as part of your role as a Christian educator? Why or why not?

Yes. As I’ve gotten older, I increasingly feel the impulse to invest in a more comprehensive way in young people. Truth be told, I have not yet found a way to to do this that I find satisfactory. But I continue to look for opportunities.

Yes, absolutely. I see mentoring as a part of discipleship. Hand in glove, they go together.

I consider mentorship as part of my role as a Christian educator. There are students that do not have someone to guide them and train them. Sure we help to educate them, but some students need you to walk along side them and be a positive influence in their lives because their isn’t one.

Mentorship is something that I’ve considered because as a teacher my job is to create effective disciples for Christ. Elementary students will need the guidance and knowledge of scriptures to understand God. Becoming their mentor will lead them to Christ and learn what a biblical worldview creates in their lives.
