Yes! I want my students to know that I am invested in them and our school and that I take my role in their lives very seriously.

For students, it is part of the calling. For other teachers, yes. I think my nurturing personality would help my peers to learn more as well.

I feel as a Christian educator that mentorship is part of the role we get to do when we invest our time and love to students.

Coming from more of a Christian ministry background than an educational background, discipleship is a primary concern of mine and what I am most excited about as a new educator. As a former missionary, I am taking the role of Spanish teacher, but I look forward to applying many aspects of this lecture concerning mission opportunities for my students.

Yes, I always follow my students as they continue their high school journeys and I ask them how they are doing.
