My school is a place of redemption in many ways. Students have many opportunities throughout the year to hear the good news.

Our school is a “place of redemption”. We have a youth pastor, administrators and faculty that point children to Christ through lessons, chapel and just day to day happenings. We had about 20 come to salvation last school year.

Absolutely and I am so grateful to be a part of a school who does such a great job of that. Although there are rules/expectations, etc. the administration and teachers do not rule with an iron fist. There is a contagious joy and love that is felt and modeled throughout the administration, staff, parents and pastors.

I would like to say it is, but I must be honest and say it is not completely. I am sure it is the goal of our school and any Christian school, but to be completely a place of redemption, I think not. It has to start with the leaders and here is where we need to start over and be true and honest with ourselves. When we cannot pull together as a team and have each other’s backs then the divide will be just as Christ had in the garden. No one watched his back when he needed them to the most.

Yes, my school is a place of redemption. We do have very clear policies, expectations, and rules and appropriate consequences that follow disobedience, but we also acknowledge that a students growth and understanding of God’s love, forgiveness, and redemption is more important than our polices and procedures. Therefore it is the goal of our school to teach through our actions and reactions what redemption looks like.
