I hope so! In the most literal sense, are we seeing students’ lives redeemed and forgiven by Christ? Yes, student at our school meet Jesus in our classrooms, and through chapels. Daily, I will continue to challenge myself to make my classroom a place of redemption. I tell my students that, “His mercies are new every morning”, and remind them that the mistakes of yesterday do not need to hold weight today. We can each walk in mercy and redemption daily.

I love the way our school exemplifies redemption for our students. We work closely with parents and children when an issue may arise. We speak with the student, the parents and both together. Depending on the offense, we work with the family about appropriate repercussions and how to heal the situation so the student may continue on with the student body.

Yes. Issues are worked out and resolved and then we move on. Forgiveness is given because Jesus paid the ultimate price.

The school in which I teach is a place where redemption is explained and practiced. If the school errsnin this regard, it errs on the side of not being strict enough so students do not value redemption as much as they would if it were to enforce its ideals with more clarity.
