I read a lot the epistles, I find the doctrines of the Bible in these, and I believe that doctrines are important for a true foundation. Doctrines help put together a belief system by which we can live our lives. Prophesy I tend to read least because I find it sometimes more complicated to understand, they draw information from many different sources, names of tribes of Israel, locations of mountains and cities, use of Old Testament history. I have to understand more of the Old Testament books to put it together. I favor the Epistles because they help me understand what God has done for us in Christ Jesus, and Paul shows passion, and cares for the individuals and the churches He is writing to.

Honestly, I love reading the narrative stories of the life of Jesus in the gospels the most. I can hear the Holy Spirit highlighting portions of scripture to apply to my own life and faith journey.

I read parable and prophetic the most though I would not say I have a favorite.

I try to read equally of each category and I can’t say that I favor one genre . Sometimes it depends on the day .

It is hard to decide on a favorite genre. I have for this year focused on the epistles and the narrative but I really do love the poetry and the apocalyptic. I do like to also really try to apply the parables as they are really where the meat of what Jesus was getting across is. I also do enjoy the prophetic as much of it is still happening today.
