Of the six genres (narrative, epistle, prophetic, parable, poetry, apocalypse), which do you read most? Which do you read least? Do you have a favorite genre? If so, why do you favor it?

Of the 6 genres, I frequently reads narratives, epistles, parables and sometimes poetry and apocalypse. The least I read about is the prophetic books because it is difficult to understand what the prophet is referring to. I like narratives because it is like story-telling and interesting turns as the stories progresses.

I the genres I read the most are poetry and prophetic. The genre I read the least is narrative. I favor the two latter for their wisdom, beauty, and personal meaning to me and my relationship with God.

I would have to say epistle. I’ll confess that I spend much more time in the New Testament.

Poetry is my least favorite. Apocalyptic is my favorite, probably because it is a lot of what is yet to come.

Of the six genres, I read the poetry genre the most. I read the apocalyptic the least. The poetry genre is my favorite. The poetry genre helps me to respond in a positive manner when I am faced with life challenges.
