As Christian educators, the word of God is our greatest tool, especially when challenged with the world’s view of things. Speaking the truth from the word of God to students is a great guide to this challenge.

Some of the best practical ways to respond to this challenge are to engage the students in conversations that will help them open up using the scriptures to remind them about the truth which is the word of God. The word of God will never depart from their heart if it’s constantly shared. Be a good listener and show that you care and you can stand in the gap concerning their spiritual needs. These students come to school with all personal problems affecting their learning. The need to break the fallow ground, strengthen them with the truth from the scripture, and teach them how to search the scriptures as they pray daily will help them overcome.

The easy way out is to find out what God says about the situation. What does the bible inform us concerning it? There is no new thing under the face of the sun as stated in the book of Ecclesiastics. So let’s pull out the Bible and search it out.

Help establish faith and belief in God. Students are taught in postmodernism to ignore what they see or experience. We need to talk about this in depth and help the students realize that we have to trust and do things in God’s image

Postmodernism teaches students to ignore what they are able to observe and what they can experience and the valued of their existence. First and foremost we need to know God ourselves and relate our personal experience to the classroom. If God is just rule giver and if Christianity is just another religion, our students will likely not know God for themselves. We need to teach them aspects of our personal relationship with God.
