The first step in responding to postmodernism is to understand it and know how it is different from a biblical understanding of knowledge. By directing students to the Bible and showing how God’s Word reveals the misconceptions of our culture, we can help them think more critically about the world around them.

Regarding what we know, I believe it’s important in the moment to direct students back to biblical truth. Scripture is the basis of knowledge, and knowledge based on faith goes far beyond what we can perceive with our own senses.

I guide my students back to scripture and Biblical truth. I communicate my Biblical worldview and values. I teach lessons that are Biblically integrated that focus on the truth found in the word of God. I teach my students to work through challenges and conflict from a Christian perspective.

If we can continually point them to the Word and to Christ, then they have a guide to help them through the challenging questions and life events they will face. I think we can also always lead them to the power of prayer and asking God for guidance and wisdom.

Christians love Christ, and as we are drawn ever closer to Him through our lives, we grow in the confidence He gives us about Truth, which includes the knowlege and understanding about how and what we know. This spills over and touches those we come on contact with because His inner confidence enables us to do all things through Him, which attracts our students to Him through our example.
