It is important because we are aware of God’s grace to us. So, it is our responsibility to believe in Him and in His only begotten Son Jesus Christ who died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins.

Its important because just about everything that a person could do sin wise happened in the old testament and GOD still called His people back to Him, with love and forgiveness, mirroring modern times, GOD still loves us and wants to forgive us all we have to do is turn back to Him and Jesus.

Sin is ubiquitous in all generations, but in these last days, temptations abound and the spiritual climate is getting more ungodly. So we, more than people of past eras, are fallible, and need the grace of God to bring us back to God. Thank God that His rebuke is ultimately meant to restore us, even if it contains warning of judgment.
