Even now, we are not immune to failure. We have all sinned and will continue to fail in the future. But we have hope in God, who redeemed us through Jesus Christ, who paid for our sins once and for all.

God is unchanging. He pursued people from the beginning and still does today. He created us for love and relationship. Sin separates us from God but he offers his grace and forgiveness to all of us, with no expiration date.

To live Eternally with GOD means we must be converted which means we must come back to GOD.

It is significant today because God has not changed, and He still wants us to come back to Him, He wants us with Him and He always loves us.

The significance of us being able to return to God if we fail is that we through His grace there is always an open door to return to Him. Because we were created in His image, we always have an opportunity for an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father.
