This is significant today and gets even more significant with each generation; because with each generation it gets easier to turn away from God. I see and hear things on television that I never though I would see in my lifetime. So, it gets more convenient to sin.
But even in terrible a terrible situation God is the God of hope. No matter how far we have fallen we have hope that we can return to Him and find compassion and forgiveness.
