Discipleship lesson, Follow Me as I Follow Christ. Have students take turns being a leader. Discuss what Jesus means to run the race, what happens when you make bad decisions, and helping your fellow Disciples get back on the straight and narrow.

In science course we talked about the life stages of the butterfly. As the students learned the four stages of the metamorphosis and we moved to the pupa stage. I then brought in a chrysalis and we talked about how when we accept Jesus as our Lord we are like the butterfly that emerges from a cocoon. We were like this larvae without Christ, living earthbound and much like a worm. But then we transform and become a beautiful butterfly! No longer earthbound but we become a new creature, we can fly!

As part of the first unit for our Apologetics course, we analyze Paul’s address on Mars Hill in Acts 17. We look at the way he employed different strategies for those with different worldviews. This led to a great lesson on how we can best share the gospel with people by finding out what they currently believe, asking good questions, and then proceeding from there.
