We recently talked about Eugenics and I had the students write up on the board how a non-christian would argue for eugenics. Then I had the students come up with how a christian would refute each of these. It was a great day of discussion and thought and the students were very engaged in the activity.

I love to use object lessons that help to bring the content alive for students. One such lesson had a student dropping a cantaloupe from the top of a ladder. Then a second student dropped another cantaloupe from the ladder that had a helmet on it. The lesson was about the helmet of salvation and the students were completely engaged and they will remember it for a long time. It allowed them to see the benefit of the helmet, how it protects, and then apply that to trust and belief in God.
