Parents can be invited into the classroom to share information about their careers or hobbies that align with the curriculum content being taught.

1. If you have an event coming up and would like to have flyers available to pass out or distribute to the neighborhood, as a parent with skills in graphics design to assist in the creation of the flyers.
2. If you need curtains for your classroom, ask a parent to make some for you.
3. Seek those who like to speak or work with children to come in share as a special guest.
4. My dad created a possession board for my high school that they still use today (30 years later).
5. Allow parents to organize and do a bake sale for the school rather than the staff orchestrating everything.
6. Ask grandparents to come in and read with struggling readers or read to your course.
There are many more opportunities parents and parental figures would love to do that can help both you, your students, and them. -
I could encourage them to assist in planning a field trip, or some other school event.

It depends on what the parent may want to do. Many times parents come in and run a station, or reads to the course.

In my role as the Learning Support Teacher, this is a difficult question to answer. However, I try to e-mail, call, and write notes to parents as much as possible to help them be a part of what their child is learning.
