(1) Let parents present at PTF (Parent Teacher Fellowship) meetings their ideas and strategies, they use when helping their children with homework and studying practices. (2) Also, allow parents to demonstrate through media (internet, laptop, cellular devices, tablets, social media) ways they guide their children through their technique of administration.

As a teacher in a boarding school for mostly Korean students, I have little direct contact with parents. However, I can give regular updates to the homeroom teachers who can pass them on to the parents. I can provide them a few questions they can ask their children when they next speak to them. I can create a Google doc the parents can access and post pictures, videos and lessons so the parents can feel involved in what their children are doing and learning.

Because our courses are live, interactive, online courses for homeschool students, parents must provide a good internet connection. Each week parents are responsible to proctor either a quiz or test and return it to the teacher as a single PDF for grading. Parents are responsible for making sure homework is completed. Since I teach homeschool students, parents are very engaged in the learning process. As both a homeschool mother and a teacher, I often counsel and encourage homeschool moms to persevere.

I am terrible at decorating – I could ask a parent to help me decorate the classroom in the fall.
I am learning about procedures and systems, but it is not my strength – I could ask a parent that is highly organized to help me communicate procedures. -
Parent connect night I plan to give a survey to see what they love doing, how they can bring their skills to the classroom and encourage involvement. I also plan to provide a suggestion for homework.
