You next God to be there and carry you through it. God will provide and meet your needs. -
Grief can be experienced as fear in that the void in life created by loss leaves in its wake uncertainties about one’s future.

Grief feels like fear because it causes the feeling of what next! I did feel a little fearful after my husband died because I was by myself. I had to learn to feel comfortable being alone. Then realized that we’ll never alone because God is with us. Then I felt fear about handling the bills. So I worked more hours in my job and cut out every extra expense I could think of. After taking those steps and learning to trust God more, the fear left. God does not give us a spirit of fear either, but one of a sound mind.

I never thought of grief and fear as being the same. Until now. In my grief I feel lost and am afraid, afraid to let go out fear that I’ll forget my dad , his voice the security I had in his presence, the way he smelled. I Understand C.S Lewis. I agree with him.

I think that grief can feel like fear, because you are not certain about the future. As previously mentioned, I loss my husband recently, and my hold life has changed, and I have to make some important decisions about my future. It can be a little scary because of the uncertainty of everything. My faith and trust in the Lord is helping me get through this time. Shelby
