It means you will have to have faith that the Spirit will guide you. You are not in control and can’t really make anything happen. It all depends on the Spirit’s work. I am free to be curious and ponder what the Spirit wants to do in this conversation.

If you believe that (which is a piece of truth), it will broaden your horizons and help yield a deeper and more effective understanding of the Gospel. When we know that grace has the ability to overcome all things, to “handle” them, we no longer fear what we may find when we are curious, because we know the answer already, and that it is strong enough!

For all have sinned and fall short the glory of God.
What can be uncovered that cannot be forgiven by the blood of Christ?
As long as I remember I am a sinner, I think I can be more patient… and curious… -
This is a big one for me. So often, I hold back, don’t ask the question, and don’t probe further for fear of not being able to handle what is being revealed. However, if it’s true that grace can handle what I can’t handle and that the Holy Spirit can come alive in me then there’s no question to be afraid of, no response that I won’t be able to handle. Curiosity prompted by a deep vision and by the Holy Spirit will allow God to go places in another’s journeying reality that’s never been possible before.

Trusting and knowing that the spirit will lead me, can definitely guide me to ask curious questions. I can ask with confidence that God’s grace will provide a way to hear and understand the situation. Knowing this, allows me to move towards meaningful relationships.
