It’s important to discover the root cause of the problem rather than try to medicate the outlying problem because that is what is causing the problem. It’s like if my son had a splinter and it caused pain and all I had to offer was Tylenol. The pain medication may limit pain to a certain extent, but the pain will just come back as soon as the medication wears off. What my son needs is the splinter removed and the cite cleaned properly, then maybe give something for pain relief. Many times, if we refuse to go to the deeper issue, we are only focusing on the symptoms rather than the Illness and we may just temporarily fix a symptom that will come back because the deeper problem is still there.

Reframing moves the questions into looking below the waterline into the larger story of the soul away from techniques, analyzing or cognitive awareness of the presenting problem and into specifics about a person’s important relationships. Vision produced curiosity helps someone feel safe by letting the person know you are really interested in them and what is going on in their life rather than a judgemental or trying to fix it curiosity

This shift is important for each person within their lives to have better understanding of what thing could. A mindshift can assist each of us in finding joy within ourselves and help us better understand our relationships..

Almost all of our problems boil down to relationships at some level. So when you get to the relational level, you know you have shifted below the waterline and that is a good thing. That is when real awareness, understanding, growth and maturity can begin to blossom.

Focusing on relationahips allows the conversation to go below the waterline. To begin to move towards the vision, we need to move towards the area of the soul that is inhabited by the Spirit of Christ. This is the relationship that will allow the good to be uncovered. I so like the idea of starting with the “physical” relationships and moving to the spiritual relatonships. So cool!
