When my students read Ralph Waldo Emerson, I have students read his essays with a local pastor’s “Spot the Lie” game in mind. Emerson has so many “feel-good” ideas, and there are bits and pieces of truth interspersed with the gobbledygook. They close the Emerson unit by reading his “Divinity School Essay” and writing an essay on the degree to which his ideas do and do not conform to scripture.

I think that one assignment that would work well in my math courses is to discuss why it is a good thing that we have a God of reason. We have to use reasoning skills in solving math problems in a similar way we see God work in ways that have rational and reason behind his actions.

The math curriculum that our school is using does not have any biblically integrated assignments. However, as teachers we are helping students to develop character traits that align with the Bible. This course has made me think of some ways to purposefully integrate biblical truths within my lessons.

As a team, we are planning to integrate the non-Cristian curriculums to the Bible. It is a hard task but when working as a team, we can do it.

During the social science course, students are to discuss how the government functions. We are open discuss how God establishes the government and authority for human mankind.
