When we discuss genetic engineering I allow students to contemplate where they draw the line with regards to genetic modification. We then read different scriptures that pertain to God and His creation. The kids then are asked the same questions to contemplate where they now draw the line after reading what God’s word says.

During social studies, we learn about different countries and the people in those countries. I integrate how God has made all of us and loves each of us. We discuss how Jesus didn’t come to die for only some people, but for everyone.

In creative writing I asked students to identify fruits of the spirit for the character they’ve created. We also compare and contrast characters with people in the Bible.

I teach math and don’t currently have any biblically integrated assignments or assessments. However, I had an idea for one. After having integrated these concepts and conversations throughout the year, I believe a good end-of-year assignment would be to write an essay discussing what math reveals about the existence and nature of God.

I especially like to teach science with the Bible. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
