One of the goals I wrote down was to get the book Undivided and read through it. I want to read it so that I can be more informed on how to use her questions to create biblically integrated lesson plans. I will then hopefully work with the other teachers to develop lesson plans for the coming school year.

This is one of my goals for biblical integration: For each unit, I will title it with a biblical concept and an overarching verse that explains it. Then I will ask students how does do we observe in this aspect of creation the fulfillment of the given verse?
Examples 1. Classification of Life – The Creator is an orderly God – 1 Corinthians 14:33 God is not a God of disorder but of peace.
2. The Water cycle – Isaiah 55:10-11 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater, So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
3. Genetics – Psalm 139:13-16 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. -
One goal that I have is to continue my study of the Bible and how I can share what God says about the big questions in life. I will set aside time every day to dig in and research what God is saying and what the world is saying so I can share the difference with the students that I work with in counseling sessions.

I am continually reading books by various Christian pastors/authors to ensure I am growing in the Lord. I also will be looking up specific verses to go with those essential questions.

I am going to use magnetic sentence strips on which to write the essential questions of biblical integration. I can use these on my board so that my students can see them and I can direct them to the questions when we are talking about our different subjects. I also want to have them listed for my desk to always have them in front of me.
