I plan to purchase and read Every Bush Is Burning by Dr. Kelly Hayes. I will evaluate Biblical integration in my previous lesson plans to see if there are better strategies to make them natural.

I want to read it so that I can be more informed on how to use her questions to create biblically integrated lesson plans. I will then hopefully work with the other teachers to develop lesson plans for the coming school year.

Deleted User07/12/2022 at 19:58This is one of my goals for biblical integration: For each unit, I will title it with a biblical concept and an overarching verse that explains it. Then I will ask students how does do we observe in this aspect of creation the fulfillment of the given verse?
Examples 1. Classification of Life – The Creator is an orderly God – 1 Corinthians 14:33 God is not a God of disorder but of peace.
2. The Water cycle – Isaiah 55:10-11 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater, So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
3. Genetics – Psalm 139:13-16 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. -

I will set aside time every day to dig in and research what God is saying and what the world is saying so I can share the difference with the students that I work with in counseling sessions.
