Share one or two Bible-study techniques you find most helpful.

The study technique I find that works best for me is to read through a passage of Scripture and write down 5 favorite verses, 5 verses that speak truth, 5 questions I had, and 5 potential controversial topics/verses. Then, I will discuss the truths, questions, and controversial topics with trusted Spiritual leaders or friends to gain some of their insight. This technique helps me to really look at each verse (with context of course) and not just skip over a verse that may actually have a very significant message or lesson.

I use Blue Letter Bible and the tools that they have. I will read scripture then listen to a commentary to have a deeper understanding of what I have read.
