I would like to use a more Biblical worldview into my lessons and not just prayer before every lesson. I would like to help my Curriculum coordinator to be able to incorporate a Biblical Scope and Sequence to be integrated in every lesson.

I will place more importance on discipleship, mentorship, and missions. I also want to change some things in how I create a nurturing environment, making time at the beginning and ending of courses to greet my students meaningfully and to debrief. I also want to be more cognizant of Biblical worldview integration in each lesson and providing processing activities in lessons based on Biblical worldview concepts.

Using Biblical integration in all courses is essential. In that I must show how God touches every part of life.

I think I will just continue to be more aware of the times we are in and the impact this has on our kids. In knowing this, I think it’s important to stay positive, stay rooted in scripture, and just be available as a mentor and someone who will always talk to a kid who is struggling.

This course has actually taught me a couple of things things. First, it has taught me how to approach the tough challenging questions that may arise as a science teacher. I personally have debated where my beliefs as a secular trained scientist lien relation to my Biblical faith. I know that as an Earth Science instructor that debate will arise over the age of the Earth from a Evolutionist view versus a Creationist viewpoint. After these lessons I now know that its alright to face such questions head on instead of trying to avoid them and that in fact encouraging my students to challenge theories is a good thing in order to validate the truth of God’s word.
Second, this course has really taught me how to recognize and truly value the great opportunities I will now have as a Christian educator. I will be able to prepare my students not only academically, but spiritually. I have the opportunity to serve as a mentor and as a leader in their Christian walk.
