I will try to mentor my students by adding the different scriptures into the lessons which will emphasize Christ-like spirit in all my students. I will make sure that my biblical philosophy will be prominent in my classroom.

This was such a great refresher. I could see needing this every few years just to regroup and be encouraged. It reminds me of the importance of Christian education and that we are preparing children not just for this academic year but for the long term. God is always preparing us for the future.

I learned the importance of integrating God’s word naturally in all aspects of my classroom. Biblical integration has been something I’ve struggled with my first two years of teaching, but I feel more prepared for the upcoming year now that I better understand its importance in all areas of a child’s life in and outside of a school setting.

I will try to expand the “nurture” aspect of my ministry to my students by creating more time outside of the classroom to build relationships, whether that is at lunch or at extracurriculars. I will also continue to work on engaging in more processing activities to help the students reach that next level in critical thinking when it comes to those “big life questions.”

I definitely have learned to integrate God’s Word into every lesson, to establish my students in Christian Philosophy, and to tackle the big questions of life using God’s Word as the foundation… To teach scripture to all of my students and to give them time to process God’s Word in connection with topics learned.
