Not only do we teach our students, we also can learn from them.
The thing I learned from my mom was stopping at the catholic church and hail Mary’s and kneeling and asking for forgiveness of sins. I was raised also in the Baptist church whereas I was faithful to singing in the choir and going to church. In the third grade I went to church every week and got a bible with my full name in Gold. Keeping our students mind set on Christ and the goal of faithfulness.
I remember not having across necklace like others growing up and wishing I had one. Pretty much people give up going to church if they feel forgotten. Just saying.
Like working toward eternity. Faithfulness keeping from turning from the right to left and keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus. This can be guided to our students as for ourselves.

This course is full of great ideas to help an educator begin thinking about their Christian philosophy. Our school requires us to use biblical integration in our plans an lessons and this has been as struggle so I have gained some good background and ideas to continue this.

First, I have encouragement. The instructor put into clear words many concepts I have noted over 40 years in Christian ed. I feel a much stronger desire to stand against the pushback and hostility that seems to be building in education in general.

I learned a lot about Christian philosophy and terminology and its application in education. For me personally, I would need to work in the area of carefully planning a coherent curriculum.

I loved the practical advice on how to include biblical integration in our unit plans. We are using CurriculumTrak, which has been a chore to complete but an absolute gift from God, but the tips on how to include it in daily lessons was enough for me to think, “Duh, Erin!” I need to have it in my face to remember. As an English teacher, biblical integration comes very naturally in literature, but it’s more difficult when in grammar units. I also am inspired to start outside mission trips for our older students. I did not get to go on any mission trips, and we have a wealth of opportunities right in our own town.
