I will be more deliberate and intentional with my Bible integration and more purposeful with tying my lessons to the world and how to be a Christian in the world. I will also make sure to be more open to opportunities that present themselves and follow what God has in mind for my course and my lessons.

I think the most applicable things for me was the interactive lesson information. I will try that more often and see how successful I can be with that approach.

One of the things that the lecturer has taught me is how important my Biblical philosophy is in my classroom. I need to be more attentive to my students and be ready to share what God’s Word says. Sometimes I get focused on the lessons, preparing supplies or just wrangling behavior issues. I need to make sure I am in tune in the lives of the students by hearing what concerns them and answering with Scripture and personal experiences.

I learned that it is good for me to be more personal with my students and share things about my own spiritual life. As an ESL teacher, I speak about God, but I do not integrate the Bible into my lessons. I want to be more intentional about doing that.

One of the things that I learned in this course that will change my approach in the classroom is to go over my scope and sequence as a new 3rd grade teacher and make sure that it is biblically integrated at every turn. I hope that this helps develop a biblical foundation for my students as we grow together. I also hope that it helps them develop critical thinking skills that deepens their faith.
