I need to be proactive in inserting Biblical throughlines in my daily lessons. Praying at the beginning of class is not enough.

I’m going to be discussing with them the importance of knowing God’s word and how we can apply principles from it in order to function and be aware in the world.

As I said in a previous lesson, I’m going to be discussing with students observations of children’s behavior in stories; askng if their actions or words are Christ like or not and how they shoud be.

As I read through the transcripts comparing classes I’ve taught to the concepts, I remembered that it was months into my first Christian school teaching that I recognized the arrangement of our textbooks. Throughout the series, the Bible class coincided with that in other subjects. I would begin with that understanding when preparing lessons.

    And, again, better organization.

I have learned that sharing the biblical worldview for the big questions in life is vital, but also sharing the secular worldview is just as powerful. By using scripture to confirm which truth is accurate will prepare students to be able to combat the lies being thrown at them and answer the questions that they will face out in the world. I’ve also learned that it’s very important to use my position in a Christian educator role to share my story and how God has worked and moved in my life. Preparing them with the knowledge that they will face struggles of many kinds, but in the same way letting them see that God is faithful, that He is working and moving in all things, and encouraging them they were made for such a time as this!
