I am in my second year in my current teaching role in Christian Ed., so I am feeling a bit more confident this year about my content and sharing my faith. Interestingly, this final lesson hits home, as I have undergone incredible hardship these last 10 years, but looking back, can now see the goodness of God at work in my life. I need to be a bit more transparent about difficulties as well as the goodness of God with my students, praying with them more, and not being afraid to share more of myself with them. This builds relationship, trust, and helps build their foundation so when the storms brewing hit them, they’ll be ready.

I will be using scope and sequence and make sure to really get across the biblical integration in all of my lessons and make sure it is on the students level.

I had thought before that I was integrating Christian values and beliefs into my teaching, but I can absolutely see now that I have not been doing that effectively. I will take everything I have learned in this course and make my teaching better. Thank you!

I learned to be more prayerful and to care more about my part in the spiritual growth of the students. I realized that I am among friends who are sensitive to the Word of God and want to live their life according to Christ’s will for us and that we should stay close to God and keep learning.

I have relearned and confirmed the importance of identifying and addressing the big questions that students will ask and will have through out the school year based on what over arching topics we will cover. To be prepared for those questions and be able to lead the students to finding those biblical truths is an area I want to get better at this coming school year.
