I am a Bible teacher so all of my course is biblical integration. My wife is our upper high school math teacher and she has done an amazing job of tying in the attributes of God to her lessons for her Algebra 2 and Calculus courses. She has the students find verses on each attribute of God they cover for the section. She calls these little assignments “God with Math.” At the end of the quarter she averages all of the daily grades together for a quiz grade. It is a way to incorporate the Bible into math regularly and to give those students who are not confident in their math skills a quiz grade they can look forward to.

One way that I apply a biblical principle to my lessons is when working with my kindergartners on oral language I choose to use the beginner Bible, I will pick a sentence out go through,I say the sentence once, I have the kids move their markers down for each word that I said. Then we switch our finger across the markers as we see each word so that they get the fluency Of each word.

In teaching literature, we spend a good deal of time figuring out what the author is trying to say. The next step is to compare that to what scripture has to say. Sometimes that involves having students identify applicable scriptural principles; other times the lesson directs them to specific scriptures to consider.

Being a science teacher I am having to embed biblical principles in all of my lessons. We look at what the Bible says about the science vs what the world says. We discuss how science continually points to a creator and His beautiful masterpiece. It allows students to see that they are not a mistake and are part of a glorious plan!
