Some of my curriculum books have a biblical worldview and some do not. For those that do not, I have students consider what God says about the different things we are learning, including by finding relevant passages in Scripture, and discuss with their classmates how their lessons can further God’s kingdom and their understanding of it, and what God has to say about their own cultural practices and the practices of the cultures we are learning about.

My curriculum has a biblical worldview. I also find it possible and, in fact, essential, that I talk about biblical principles with my students when we are addressing classroom behavior. So, we tend to talk about biblical principles when there is conflict and it helps us all return to the “same page.”

We discuss what it looks like to use the biblical character trait of the month while in the computer lab. We discuss the pitfalls and things they may encounter.

In both of my teaching experiences (Christian Educator and Public School Educator), I embed the Fruit of the Spirit into my lessons and classroom. As role models, we have to not only model accountability for our choices and actions, but help them hold each other responsible for their choices and actions. Are we acting in a loving way towards others? What does the Bible say we should do when someone is impatient or joyless or lacks peace? It goes along with teaching right from the beginning of the year the type of classroom climate you want as it relates to how Jesus both approached, treated and demonstrated these elements. Think about Jesus in his humanness here on earth. His ability to be tempted but not yield to the temptation (self-control – yes , He is God and sinless but experienced what we would, so that he could teach us what to do).

I use scripture and Biblical application in the area of science almost every day. We recently discussed eugenics and looked at it from a Biblical perspective and how should a Christian respond to morally questionable activities.
