One way I embed biblical principles in my lessons is by using verses from the Bible that support the concept or topic I am teaching.

I am an Art teacher so I have ample opportunity to talk about God our creator. When we draw people I talk about how we are made in the image of God and how we are all beautiful in our own ways. When we look at all is created around us we can praise God for his beautiful, creative creation. I often tie in scripture with whatever we are creating on any given day. I also sometimes read books in conjunction with my assignments and sometimes there is opportunity to talk about the characters behavior and whether God would be pleased or not. I am in a Christian school , so on Christian holidays we talk about what they mean and make artwork around them.

One biblical principle I believe is embedded in my curriculum is endurance just like how we endure and persevere in our faith, there are times in math course where we need to also work hard and push ourselves to learn content that may be difficult or challenging.

Oftentimes I use the characters in literature. We discuss character traits and whether they align with what the Bible teaches. We also discuss the problem and solution of stories and whether the characters chose a wise or unwise way, according to God’s word, to solve the problem. Students are sometimes asked to solve the problem in a better way.
In Science, we often look at the wisdom in God’s creation and how it points to Him. For example, how plants produce seeds and are able to keep reproducing so that we have the food we need to sustain us. We look at how God nourishes his creation and compare it to how we are nourished physically and spiritually.

I integrate biblical stories, examples and values in my students artwork.
We read and talk about biblical stories before students start to illustrate .
This help students to vision even better with hands on a story from the bible.
