    One example, a teacher purchased a social emotional curriculum on friendship. She went through and added a Bible verse that correlated with each lesson. This helped her and her students look to what the Bible says about friendship as they went through that SEL unit.

    Everything comes from God. You can point all lessons back to God. As I teach the children, I can see how it is all connected. I even use the fruits of the spirit for behavior discussions.

    I enjoy how our science lessons constantly remind students that things are because of God’s creation. They also refer to stars and space as heavenly bodies. I think this is a great way to teach science as well as incorporate God, as a lot of times science education will separate from religion.

    It is easy to incorporate the doctrine of man, specifically that we are made in the image of God, into studies of history and discussions on WHY equity matters. Also, I have found it naturally fits into the collective work we do at the start of the year to establish classroom norms. The activity becomes about HOW we exercise the fruit of the Spirit in our communal life.
