Last year one of our teachers had to talk to a parent of a student who was confused about his gender. This teacher graciously shared her Christian faith with the parent. I am sure that she also prayed for this student.

Most of the time when something bad happens in our lives, when we fave hardships, people tend to question God’s power and justice. I respond that we live in a fallen world where bad things are gonna happened but they will turn to good when we are in God’s ways and purpose. Most of the time the bad things that happen to us are based on our own choices in life and God has nothing to do with that. He actually gave us his word to teach us what to do in every situation but we make our own decisions and we fail.

I have a cousin who is an agnostic and he used to try to attack my husband and I on various topics. We continually showed him the love of Christ and always gave a gentle answer. Years have gone by and when we see him he’s not as quick to attack us, but tries to engage us in friendlier conversation.

I have a friend who get quieter and kinder when he engages in conflict with others especially with those outside of the Christian Faith. He is inspiring to observe.

I try to not respond in anger. The anger of man does not accomplish the righteousness of God. My response is to be lovingly unmoved. It is not against me but against God. He is the one who has to change hearts.
I also seek to expose that another worldview cannot answer many questions that the Christian worldview answers. For example, a secular worldview can try to explain what we are made while it is fails to explain what we are made for.
