    1. God saved me in the 4th Grade.

    2. I learned that to experience the fullness of life Jesus gave required my submission to His lordship.

    3. Under His Lordship, began my “formal education” in the Kingdom of Heaven. He taught me His ways, precepts, deeds, and heart. He became my ultimate ontology. All reality is established in relation to Him as He represents HImself.

    4. My “formal education” began during my first year as a teacher of record in the public school system. There, I learned how to live my faith under great pressure. God is faithful!

    5. During my time in the public school system, He called me into a bi-vocational life. I traveled every year, for 5 years to Jamaica, to coordinate Vacation Bible School. During that time, I also began teaching a women’s Bible Study and was entrusted with a nonprofit whose mission is to provide the true food of God’s Word to all people, one woman at a time.

    6. Now, I am in the process of earning my All Principals Certification so I can lead a school community to know and love Christ in this world, for generations to come.

During my Senior year of high school, I asked God about my career path. He reminded me how much joy I had in Chemistry class and in my volunteer hours at an orphanage, teaching English. I had joy in science and teaching, which is why I pursued that career. Today I work at a Christian School.

I was a homeschool teacher teaching Christian Based homeschool material to my daughter. I believe God is all around us. Whether its math, science, language, music or art. God is in these areas, so why not educate my daughter to see Him all around her. I now teach PE where I can express my love of sports combined with providing God’s emphasis on living a healthy physical life that takes care of the bodies God has given us. There is stewardship and accountability when it comes to how we treat our bodies.

We moved to a new area and were unbale to enroll our kids in the grades we wanted to after Covid due to their ages (Aug. bdays) so we looked at private Christian education and God opened the doors for them to attend and for me to work at their school.

I came to Christian education I suppose the same way I came to education in the first place….totally inadvertently.

I went to college to learn how to read music. I sang in churches and with a group. I had recently rededicated my life to the Lord and perceived that music was my place to serve. I was in my 30s and struggled tremendously to get through music courses, but with the graciousness of certain professors, a nervous breakdown, and many long years made it with a degree in Music Education. The education part was my only choice since I was not of performance level ability.

After school, I needed a job and taught in a public school with an after school Christian program.. God worked his influence on me through that. I went to seminary, and then ended up back in teaching, only briefly in a Christian school. My taking this course is to leave open future possibilities for my retirement years.
