The acrostic ACTS stands for Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. What would happen if each were removed from devotions? (For example, what would happen if adoration were removed from your prayers?)

If adoration is removed in our prayer, it is incomplete, and we failed to recognize God’s authority and power.

ACTS is a two ways communication. Any elements taken out could impact the effectiveness of communication. While we present our requests to God, we need to acknowledge the presence of God in our lives. That request and acknowledgement are important elements contained in ACTS.

Worshiping and acknowledging who God is in our lives is our first priority when we come into His presence. The scriptures teach us the proper order to approach God.

If any of these elements are removed from prayer, prayer becomes incomplete.
