It would water down the potency of our prayer life. This would lead to a communication which is selfish or one sided. Our communication needs to be balanced with the Lord the same as conversation is with other people we care about.

The removal of any of these elements cheapens prayer. If you don’t adore God then you aren’t showing respect, if you don’t confess, you are saying you didn’t do anything wrong, if you don’t thank then it shows a lack of appreciation and if you don’t supplicate then it makes it look like you rely on your own abilities.

I think that it wouldn’t give the respect God deserves if all of these ACTS weren’t applied during devotion. This is what prayer is.

Our prayer life would not be complete. We have to recognize God for who He is and us for who we are in this relationship. He is > than i. And He is the One who supplies all of our needs in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.

I think that each of those are so important in our walk with God. I believe coming to God in worship & adoration sets the tone of who God is & his character/nature. We can worship the almighty creator before we even start our prayers to him!
