ACTS allows us to be in full relation ship with God. God calls us to worship him, to be thankful, wants us to confess, and then bring our requests to Him. Leaving out one of these(ACTS) does not allow us to experience the fullness of God.

If any of the letters were removed from the acrostic it will affect the intimacy of our fellowship with God. Jesus, when teaching His disciples how to pray mentioned each of these aspects of prayer so they are all necessary to develop our prayer life to the fullest so that we have intimate communion with the Father.

Without Adoration, we are not acknowledging the Creator, power and majesty of God

Without Confession, we are not acknowledging the sacrifice of Christ on the cross.

Without Thanksgiving, we are not acknowledging all the blessings we receive from God.

Without Supplication, we are not communicating our needs and are withholding from God relationship.

The Bible directs us to give Thanks in all things. I believe God honors our thankfulness. How could we not give Adoration to the Lord. He is so worthy and as we draw closer to Him, He shows us His love and mercy. Prayer is the key to communications. We must let our requests be made know to God. Even though, He knows what we need before we ask. Just as we do our earthly fathers, we must ask for what we need. Then give thanks for all God has done in our lives.

If Adoration were removed from devotions, I would not grow in my awe or reverence of God and would probably become anxious because I would have a limited, small view of God. If Confession were removed, I would probably become prideful and arrogant and look down on other people because I would forget that sin remains in my life. If Thanksgiving were removed, I would probably become bitter, resentful, anxious, and depressed because I would forget the gift of salvation and all the other good gifts God has given me. If Supplication were removed, my relationship with God would become impersonal, because I would assume that He doesn’t want to be involved in my life and my day-to-day struggles and needs.
