Each part of the ACTS prayer is one of the ways we relate to God. When we omit one, our prayers are not complete because we are missing one of the ways we can worship and relate to God. Each of these parts were modeled by Jesus when He teaches his disciples to pray.

Since our Heavenly Father is good and merciful God, he can accept what we ask Him. But it is good to adore him because he is our creator and no one like him.

It would be unbalanced. We don’t have to follow exactly the template but all parts must be present. We have to confess our sins and come clean before our Father. Then we can praise Him for who He is and thank Him for His blessings. We present our requests and worship Him

I often model my prayers of the Lord’s Prayer which is a similar model to ACTS, but I learned adoration from the angels, If they cry HOLY HOLY HOLY, what can a mere sinful man do ? But to give his praise and gratitude to the his creator and redeemer.

If we don’t camp out in each of these areas, we may become unhealthily focused on one area. For example, asking for things without confession or thanksgiving turns our relationship with God into a transactional relationship instead of a love relationship.
