If Confession was removed we would present ourselves to God as stubborn. If Thanksgiving was removed then we would again present ourselves to got as stubborn and not needing his help. If Supplication was removed it would be the same as if we spoke to God and said we can do it ourselves.

In other words, I am quick to come to Him for me, me, and me. Far too often I forget to come to Him with a grateful and humble heart just to spend time with Him and be with Him because of how powerful and amazing our God is.

Without doing the other things, my heart is not in the right place. Adoration, confession and thanksgiving are ways to get right minded and at times, get me to think about the big picture and not just focus on my own problems.
