Adoration is about acknowledging God for Who He Is. If we fail to acknowledge Him for Who He Is why would we expect Him to respond to us?
Confession is required because we need to acknowledge our sins in order to be forgiven. If we deny our sins, we are just lying to ourselves because God sees and knows all.
Thanksgiving is acknowledging that our blessings are a gift from God and we need to show our gratitude for these blessings to acknowledge the gifts God gave us.
Supplication is letting God know what we think our greatest needs are. -
Without:
– Adoration, we fail to truly worship God
– Confession, we fail to acknowledge him as Lord
– Thanksgiving, we don’t give him credit for what he’s done
– Supplication, we try to do it all on our own. -
If we removed Adoration from our prayers, then they would become all about us and our wants and needs. Instead we need to focus on God’s will and acknowledge our love and appreciation for Him and His blessings.

What if all four were removed from our prayers? We would lose the Father-Child relationship that is so basic to the conversation that we just read and so basic to our relationship with God/Jesus. To eliminate any single one, would weaken that relationship but to eliminate all four would eliminate the relationship altogether.

If adoration were removed from my prayers I would focus less on all the ways that I adore God. Which could affect many areas of my life.
