If adoration were removed from prayers, we’d be more self-focused on confessing and requesting. Yes, thanksgiving is God-centered, however, it is important to acknowledge our Father first, when approaching Him.

If there were no adoration, then there would be no glory, no grace, no salvation, and no God to adore. Confession, thanksgiving, and supplication are all made possible because God is who we adore and worship. The confession, thanksgiving, and supplication are each directed to God for his glory and to become more Christ-like. They are not for selfish gain.

Adoration, much like worship, helps to remove flesh and to center our focus on our heavenly Father, the foundation of everything else-confession, thanksgiving and supplication.

Adoration is a key component to praying to our Heavenly Father. Adoration provides an opportunity to us to speak to God’s character and it lets Him know that we recognize who He is.

It would be a very one sided conversation

I think the prayer would become an order taking session, and it would rob God of what is due to Him. Adoration shows one’s love, respect and honor for God and without out it, we are taking God for granted.
