Adoration-Giving Him glory for his sovereignty, and acknowledging Him for who He is; Confession of our sins; Thanking Him for what He has done; and Supplications /Requesting what we need in line with His will for our life.

Just like the two men on the road to Emmaus were in conversation with God, so we are called to have conversation with God in all times and places (1 Thess. 5:16). Praying without ceasing is a will of God, and to me that means knowing and acknowledging His presence every second of our lives. The ACTS acrostic is a great tool to get started in prayer and yet not any one aspect of the acrostic is more important than the other.

However, when we go a day without experiencing all four of these elements in prayer, we are missing out on the opportunity for a most impactful experience with
God. The act of prayer in and of itself is a form of submission and recognizing I am not God, He is God. When I adore Him, confess to Him, tell Him, thank you and pray for supplication, I am acknowledging my utter need and dependence on the one and only holy, perfect, forgiving, creative God who is the source of wisdom and joy. -
