I agree! God is the unshifting foundation – foundation for love, wisdom and knowledge. Anything else is temporary and a life built on any other foundation is false!

Yes. As the “fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom,” one cannot truly know wisdom without knowing God in all His fullness.

I agree with the lecturer. Paul sent a warning in a letter to followers of Christ in Colosse stating that “My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Col 2:2-3) He this so they may not be “deceived fine sounding arguments.” (Col 2:4) This holds true today for us as Christian educators. We must be able to discern the truth of knowledge and pass that truth on to our students, which can only be done through our relationship with God.

Yes, I agree with this because the bible states we are created in the image of God. God is the center of everything. God created us with a mind to reason and think. As Christians, we build our beliefs on him and the word. Therefore, we know all things come from him, including wisdom.

I agree with the lecturer in stating that only believers are able to truly love wisdom because the Lord is the root of all wisdom. Psalm 111:10 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, all those who practice it have good understanding. His praise endures forever.” From this verse I understand that all wisdom originates with God because He is creator and sustainer of everything. Wisdom must be practiced because it is in the practicing that understanding is gained. When understanding is gained, God is worthy of praise. Because, non-believers are not in Christ, they are incapable of gaining wisdom and are reduced to attaining knowledge and knowledge puffs up. Knowledge causes people to look within themselves and as a result produces discontentment or a sense as if whatever they have attained is not enough.
