Through these stories we can hold fast to the promise that the Lord will show us forgiveness and is always faithful despite what we may do. It also tells us about Jesus and the need for God to send a rescuer so that we can one day be with the Lord (He did this out of His love for us).

Because I can see myself in them, I have been a rebellious person most of my life, but God in His love and mercy has reached out to me.

God throughout the Old Testament shows his love. God’s forgiveness and love are unconditional. Yes, God loves all of us, regardless of our sins. However, that love does not keep him from punishing us when we need it, or to teach us important principles. This can be seen in the Old Testament.

God’s patience with humanity is forever evident. I am glad I chose this class to further understand how valuable the Old Testament is and how aligned it is to the New Testament.

We have to learn from the past to make a fresh start in the future. God showed us he is a loving and forgiving god and that we should listen and obey.
