God want to be in relationship with people, after the fall God had a plan of redemption. His love made a way for all of the world to come back into right relationship with Him. We would be lost without His love continually being shown to us. He wants us to know the kind of God He is, His love, grace and character. He continually reached out in love to show how much we need a saviour

God created humans to be in relationship with him. When Adam and Eve rebelled and broke that relationship, a great divide occurred between God and humanity. The Old Testament reveals time after time how much God loves His people and desires for the relationship to be restored. He reveals all through the OT that a Savior is coming, and that Savior, Jesus Christ, was the ultimate thing God did to reach a rebellious people — people that exist even today!

This is significant and the plan of God to save humanity from the sin of eternal death.

The rebellion starts at the beginning of the world. God’s plan was to redeem these people and cause all of their imperfection to be atoned through the blood of the Christ. Most people at that time had no idea what salvation was about. The prophesies were very unclear, and they did not know how to receive the message. Noah and his family survived the great flood, but this did not cure man’s imperfect state, soon after, life was back to its normal destructive state. Then came the new covenant of God. The chosen family of Israelites, the seed of David and the blood line of Christ our Lord and Savior. The Old Testament story is the story of our Redemption.

It is a reminder of the grace of God is bestowed upon us (those under the new covenant) when we rebel against Him. Knowing when we repent He is quick to forgive us.
