It tells us of God’s character, and what He thinks of us. It brings us closer to Him and makes me want to please Him more by knowing He loves me and has forgiven me.

it is very important and relevant for our times because we are experiencing a culture of violence in our society .I wonder what happened to our basic values human dignity and respect for life . I am serious follower of Christ and I know for sure studying the old testament not only provide very good information , but it can lead to ethical behavior and morals

This is significant because it shows that we all, in our fallen and rebellious state, are loved by God. He continues to reach out to all people in love.

It shows us about the true nature and character of God. It is also a source of hope for us.

It speaks to God’s character. God is love. We are made from the overflow of his love. His desire to reconcile to us is evidence that God is who He says He is. His reaching out to us is evidence of His faithfulness.
