It is significant because it is story of God who is the maker of heaven and on the earth. It is also significant because it shows us the creator of heaven and earth and how how thing happened.

This is significant because of the fact that it shows God’s continual love toward us. It helps us to understand that God is always thinking of us and wants to be in relationship with us. He wants to show us how to be in relationship with him. He also shows why when we are not in relationship with him, they’re repercussions for our actions and therefore gives us a path to avoid those repercussions because of his love. God hasn’t never say die. Never quit attitude when it comes to humanity. He is in it with us for the long haul.

This is significant because it restores and confirms the fact that communion with God is what we were made for and that’s how God desires for us to live. Abiding is our original design, and is so essential that he desired to create a way back to that union of walking with man in the garden. Without the fundamental understanding that communion with God is greater and much more significant than any task or call in our life, we’re missing the point because God created us to be in relationship with him.

The Old Testament helps us to understand who God is, who we are, and how we got here. By understanding that we are rebellious and seeing that we cannot restore our relationship with God by our own might, we understand why we need God, and why Jesus was the only way back to God.
