It shows us that no matter what we’ve done, God still loves us and wants us to come back to Him.

The Old Testament story speaks of God’s love for rebellious people. In every age, God shows his mercy to sinful individuals. For example, during Noah’s time, he saved eight people to show his grace. Additionally, he used Mordecai and Esther to save the remaining Jews who did not return to Jerusalem. Therefore, the Old Testament is important to us today, it can provide us with so much information to learn for our benefits as Christians.

Because it’s the intention of God from the beginning – to save us from our sins, reconcile with us and build relationship with us. All because He loves us.

It is significant because if God had not reached out in Love the entire human race would have been align for an eternal death in hell. Its only God that can save us from what we deserve and that’s death.
